Thank you for your inquiry on the TWENTY share Syndicate being formed to race the rising 2YO bay filly by ARGENTINA’S CHAMPION SPRINTER - ESTAMBUL.
EASTMBUL was a dual group ONE winner as a 3YO and his FOUR stakes wins all came at 1000m. Retired to stud in Australia initially to Ealing Park Stud at Euroa.
He has not covered big books of mares possibly because of his somewhat obscure pedigree. His sire is the NUREYEV son KITWOOD a GROUP ONE winner in France. Kitwood has sire some 20 Stakes winners including the CHAMPION South African mare PARACA.
You can check out his season by season figures at either www.stallions.com.au or see enclosed.
The dam of this is the unraced ENCANTADA by the great RUBITON, sensational sire and outstanding broodmare sire with 489 runners, 289 winners and 17 STAKES WINNERS including DASH FOR CASH, SEVENTH ROCK, INCUMBENT etc.
Encantada has had seven foals to race for 5 winners including ORO ROJO.Two of her winning daughters are already successful broodmares and the second dam AUSSIE CONSUL winner of the Gr3 VRC Frances Tressady S is dam of SIX winners including the SW SOLID CONTACT.
With this sort of pedigree she has good residual value if she can win at city level as her pedigree is virtually FREE of Northern Dancer (he appears in her 4th generation). This makes her an ideal mate for DANEHILL sons and grandsons.
Our filly was well balanced and a good walker when presented at the Inglis Autumns Yearling Sale in April – she is developing very nicely and is will be a big, strong lass in time. The filly was laryngoscoped clear of any problems at time of purchase.
This filly has been nominated for the SUPER VOBIS scheme – an incentive scheme which can return big dollars to 2 & 3YO’s- SEE ENCLOSED.
This will be our first syndication in the stable of prominent young Caulfield trainer LUKE OLIVER. Luke is a well educated and articulate young trainer with a background in the corporate finance world.
He worked in some leading stables before taking out a license and initially made an art form out of succeeding with cast offs from other stables. You can read all about him on his website www.lukeoliverracing.com.au
Owning race horses often requires patience and fortitude but we will not waste your money, our current team of 45 horses have only two horses older than four – SHAVILLE and HULA DANE.
I have been a licensed syndicator since 1989. Rod has recently updated the statistics of every horse purchased by Hancox Bloodstock until the October 2009.
We have syndicated 545 horses which are now 2Y0 and older. Hancox Bloodstock has spent some $5.17 million on purchasing horses(currently there are 24 unraced 2YO’s) and those horses have returned over $12.5 million. There are now 253 individual winners of 894 races. A further 175 have earned prize money.
Statistics of course are out of date as soon as they have been done but Rod intends to update again when he gets time ! Current horses to watch are SHYSTA, All For Fame, Concini, Al Ahmar, Key Rossa, Divine Fantasy, Kayarbee etc.
Most of our horses get to the races; of course some have no ability and others are discarded because they are not up to the required standard in Victoria or NSW but they have successful racing careers in other states for other connections.
Our stakes winners include the obscurely bred SWORD (12 wins including Gr 1 SAJC Goodwood H.), BUZZOFF (10 wins incl STC Lord Mayors Cup), STAR COSSACK (7 – Moonee Valley Oaks, Stuart Crystal S.), KALARING (4 – SAJC Rose Of Kingston S), MAKE A SCENE (10 – Ballarat Cup), REGULATIONS (11 – STC Starlight S,), COLBRANAT (7 – VRC Gibson Carmichael S), COURTLY QUALMS (9 – VRC Auckland H.), plus handy types like SUPER DANE, PURIST, REBEL WITH A CAUSE, BURNING CLAY, TAYARRA, PENTIRELY etc.
Latest stakes winner is Group 2 AJC Sapphire Stakes aand MRC Le Tan Stks winner – BELONG TO MANY a $20,000 yearling who has won over $540,000. trained for us by Barb Joseph and on sold for $525,000 !. We had a good season to the end of July 2009. The $11,000 purchase PRIMA NOCTE ticked over $250,000 in earnings from her 8 wins and retired to stud; other handy types included the very consistent ROUGH NIGHT (10 wins), DESERT LAD (3 wins) WAVELENGTH (Multiple city winner and Listed TRC Strutt S. $300,000 in earnings and on sold very well), JUST LIKE EL, SALUTE THE STORM, Shaville, Monzero, etc. Novelist (now Testyouall), Mosseltov, Rigotune, Jet Kingdom, Al Khafra, Nobelenus, etc continue to race on well for other connections.
The above run down on our company does not include a couple of stars like the 1994 VATC Blue Diamond Stakes winner HURRICANE SKY or stakes winning 2YO’s EGYPTIAN IBIS and PRIOR ENGAGEMENT, part of a package of ten horses with Contract Racing or indeed the dual Group 1 winning sprinter MOOKTA selected for Mark Riley.
Our aim is to give you the best possible chance of racing a winner at TAB level – by purchasing an athletic youngster who on percentages gives you a real chance of reaching the winner’s circle. If there is any further information you require or you wish to inspect the filly – please do not hesitate to telephone me on (03) 5274 9171.
